Around the yard

Here are few macro snaps from the yard. Sure doesn't seem like fall.

The elm tree is going to seed

Mexican Bird of Paradise blooming again

Solanum plants
Favorite vine...uh, um...I forgot the name.
It got so heavy it broke the trellis.

My zucchini came back to life!

Oops on that vacation!

How did I let time get past without posting some pix of our August vacation in Greer? I was just looking at my girlfriend's blog - she stays so up-to-date.

We stayed in a fantastic cabin!
NOTE: Click on any picture for a larger size view!

Ella kept alert for woodsy friends.

Occasionally there were staring contests

Some of us took long hikes!

Scary monster, huh?

No, we did not sauté these!
Greer is perfect!

Fooled you - that horned toad was very small.

Ella could stay forever!
Some late night activities.

Amazing wildflowers so late in the summer!

So many pictures, so much fun!
We'll go back again next summer.

"Oh Frabjous Day"

Oh joy, the wind is not blowing today! The temperature is perfect! My house is clean!  I have tons of projects from which to choose. Ummm, what to do?

I'm enjoying my wildflower photos taken in April on the way to Globe, AZ.  I just put these on the desktop background. Ahhh.....

Thank you Jo Anna for reminding me of "frabjous day." It's been 15 years since we lost Richie but I can still hear him dramatically spouting out Jabberwocky which he had memorized to perfection!
