Beach Time!

Easter was 5 days at the beach but in two different settings. The first few days were at a condo with my dear friend, Doreen and my goddaughter, Liana. And her roommate Kelsey, who is called Cupcake. Perfect weather, beautiful beach and no one there but us.

The girls are roommates at LMU in LA.  They are so cute, so fun and so sweet.
Oh yeah!
It took me a few tries but I got the girls in the air!

Quality time with my girl friend and her daughter - priceless. Liana will spend the fall semester in Spain. So I really treasure this trip!

Coming soon....more adventures.

Ella Goes to the Beach

Ella & family took  trip to the beach for a long weekend.
(She saw no humor in the visor.)

I've been reflecting on how much I appreciate my family!
We all have such a good time together.
We are fortunate!

So...notice anything unusual about this plate of cherries?
Lovely drink, huh?
Home grow in Phoenix - they morphed into a tasty bruchetta at the condo.
This lovely flower on a stick is a sliced mango, a squeeze of lime and a sprinkle of chili mixture - yi, yi yi... to die for!
Girls just having fun!
Oh, a bit too much fun for one day!

BTW the cherries were all doubles. Almost the entire batch were double.

Busy Times

Time is flying by - my blogging isn't happening nearly often enough. (I can't keep up with the girl friends!!)  My highest priority right now is preparing for the daughter's wedding December 12th. It's a small, family wedding but there are so many things to do. Thank goodness for the girl friends!

In the meantime.... Liana, our goddaughter, came home from LMU  for her birthday bash. What a cutie!  Happy Birthday, sweet girl.

               Liana and proud Dad, Vic.

Janna & Dr Steve work on dessert! Wow!

Our recent trip to Rocky Point was fun and relaxing!  The weather was perfect!  As usual it was all about Ella!!

Junior & Ella taking a break from frisbee play!

Everybody loves Ella!!

(Ella's comment:  "Gee....why they don't want me to have this frisbee??  I won't bend it, my teeth aren't sharp anymore. What the heck is so special 'bout it anyhow?")

It's hard work but somebody has to do it!!

This is my favorite picture of the week. On Thanksgiving day, I noticed this old, adorable "Woodie" ahead of us. How funny, I got myself in the snap. I feel like I was taking a picture behind me!  The Woodie was from the early 40'ties. It was a 3-seater too!!  Oh my gosh, I want to drive it.

Cute, huh?

Ella Revisits Rocky Point

Ella needs no help finding the condo. Even after 3 months, she can still get off the elevator and run right to the correct door. Don't you like this look,"Where have you guys been?" And yes, we got a pretty short hair cut for the beach!
A close up Valentine's Day picture right on the beach. Can you believe it?

This is what she has been waiting for....faster than a speeding bullet and able to leap tall buildings...yep it's Ella, part beach dog and part sand monster! (click to get a close up)
Lots of Frisbee pictures - this is Leslie, who actually improves as she plays!
Eddie - who is not too shabby!

Janna - great form...rarely misses! And then...there is our official beach boy, Junior. Frisbee expert and all things beachy! gotta love that form!
Finally there is the family klutz. Every family has one. And this is a good picture! Argggg....
Our official photographer, who is rarely captured in a picture! He aims to please!
Ahhhh, yes.....English Springer Spaniel and grandmother -- please bring our G&T.
On the road home - can you see who might be weary?

What a fun time...great food, fun and family!
