Be Mine!

I love Valentine's Day...love the hearts and colors!  I got a little wall hanging done. I used thick batting for the little trapunto designs. I like the results.
(You gotta love that puppy!)

This little, pink bag  was a gift for Allison, who is  4-years old. I had the bag, just added embellishment. Allison comes into yoga class to help mom layout her mat, before she goes to child care. Well, Allison and I really hit it off. We always do a couple of Downward Dog poses and a Bridge before she has to go. She is as cute as a button.

Tea towels for Leslie's birthday.

ID fobs for the girls.

This is a small bag for my yoga teacher, Noreen. I love the fabric!
The message is so Zen.
The back says "Breathe"
(Click to enlarge and look at the cute little zipper pull.)

A favorite card made in the embroidery hoop.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Re-do, Recycle, Re-invent

The back story is I found this great t-shirt at Good Will. The print on the front was a darling yoga girl. Soooo cute, I fell in love with her. I bought it.  Got it home, it was just too small. Drats!

I saved it for months. I wanted to wear it so badly ... one day I took a notion -  I cut it apart. I cut strips from the original back to create side gussets. What the heck....nothing to lose.

I ripped apart a nice, white lycra tee and used it  for the back. (I hated the twisted front of the white one anyway!) Voila'....

The sleeves were not working out so it became a sleeveless tee. I used strips from the original sleeves for binding. I am sooooo happy with the results!

Yoga girl...you are mine...I can wear you now!!!

Yoga and Remodel

This is my yoga group from the YMCAI've been practicing yoga at the YMCA about 2 years. It is really an enjoyable class. The Y has an excellent teacher, Noreen. I've learned so much from her. Yoga is much more of a work out than I ever imagined. There are so many benefits from the practice, I can't even list them. I would encourage anyone to attend classes. Choose an instructor with who you feel comfortable. Eeeekkk..what is this mess? Well, yes - our master bath totally gutted! As you see the framing has started. I am really excited about getting a 6-foot tub and a snail shower. More pictures later.

The picture below is a gate for the DD's (dear daughter's) back yard. The gate was designed and built by our talented friend Larry and DH (dear husband). They finished and hung in two few days! Now Ella and her humans can get to the ravine without walking around the block! Ella and her masters are very happy.
