Pattern pictures are treasures found at Goodwill. Louise Cutting patterns are normally around $16 so even if I don't use them I couldn't resist these two for 99 cents each. (Click to enlarge.) Was I afraid pieces were missing? Not really, they look like they've never been taken out of the package.

While dashing through GW this skirt jumped into my hands...it has sequins all over it. Isn't it a fun retro print!  My friend Suzy says I can wear this for Cinco de Mayo.

This knit fabric is well aged from my stash. (Which means I have no clue where or when I bought it.) I used Simplicity 5502 for the tank with a ruffle. I'm not big on ruffles but all the gals who went to our recent ASG workshop with Judy Kessinger made a ruffle tee. So natch I gotta have one too.

This simple, summer top pattern looks like a Sewing Workshop or a Cutting Line pattern. Actually it's out of print, a vintage Vogue 2148 (Goodwill again) by Adri.  (She's an interesting person)


Basically it's a square. Two adjustments:  I used Linda Lee's method for rounded back (I'll detail that next time I do it) and I added 2" to the length.  I am really happy with the way it fits in the shoulder area. The fabric is a  coarse-weave cotton, not quilting fabric, cut on the bias (my own decision.)
