Mystery Couple and Quilts

Leslie, Janna and Ella Mae
Who was in the mystery picture???? The answer is......my nearly adopted daughter, Leslie. She was at Postino's with the mystery boy - Rich. Leslie and Janna (actual daughter) are the same age and are sometimes mistaken for sisters! It's a blast to be around them. Ella was not ask to be in the picture. She inserted herself.

My other Leslie is a sewing friend. We just got our quilts back from a guild member who has a long arm quilting machine. These are our scrappy quilts. They are large - so we had then done professionally. We put the tops together while we were sewing with friends at a cabin in Pine. Hers is the red, black & white. The pattern is Turning Twenty. Look at the lovely quilting!

My quilt is made with vintage reproduction fabrics, quilted with Scottie dogs and bones. The pattern is Turning Twenty Again. Our goal was to use up some of our fabric stash -- so mission accomplished. Now we have to put on our bindings!! Yikes.

Mine is definitely not fancy but I was so happy to use my stash. I pieced the back too - as Leslie did.
