Knitting Gifts

I made this needle case for my yoga instructor who is really going to town after learning to knit last year.  The base is a brown place mat.

The fabric inside is so zen - I love it. Unfortunately, my pictures don't do the color justice and I can't take another one!

I knitted this cap for my cousin in Texas. She is in treatment for breast cancer. She is going to be without hair for a long time. Her attitude is so good. She told me "...it's just hair, it's not me!"

The Chemo cap pattern is from Knitting for Peace, Make the World a Better Place One Stitch at a Time.  A lovely book filled with  worthwhile projects.

The color isn't as true in this shot but I wanted to show the eyelet pattern stitch.  The yarn is incredibly soft - a bamboo and silk combination. I have another cap on my needles now.

I got a call from her and she loves the cap - yeah. She is getting hot flashes at night and this cap breathes so she can wear it at night.Evidently polar fleece is way to hot at night.
