Our Saturday trip to Tonopah Rob's Farm was just lovely! It's sure a "fer piece" to get there! The 50 miles aren't so bad except - we didn't know the freeway was under construction. Egad! We came home via Sun Valley Parkway. That's a beautiful and underused road once considered the road to nowhere. The development in the far west area has changed that.

But the farm....such lovely, fresh produce! Heirloom lettuce, chard, spinach, beets, French turnips, artichokes and on and on! The tiny baby carrots (all colors) have an unbelievably fresh, crisp taste! Rob gave us a grand tour which included a close up look at two baby hummingbirds in a tiny nest.

Momma quail set up her nest safely inside a miniature wooden wishing well.

I came home with lots of veggies, home made bread and a couple of sauces from from vendors. If only I lived closer to
Tonopah Rob's, I'd go every week!
