Sunday, we took a trip to Boyce Thompson Arboretum. (Be sure to click on the title link and take the visual tour.)

It was a perfect day! The weather was awesome! We walked the entire area - from cacti to tall trees; from herb garden to the lake; the high trail and the low one! Birds, bees and butterflies were everywhere. There must be more varieties of trees at the arboretum than any other place in the state.

This fantastic area is only one hour away from Phoenix and truly a botanical feast! We didn't see as many birds as we normally do, but that probably varies depending on the time of year.
This is a lovely, little Verdin, working on his nest.

Here's what Ella says, "Y
eah, fine for my people, but I had to stay on a leash the whole time!"
You were a good girl, Ella!
